Do these rules apply to me as an international tenant?
Fully. Dutch tenancy law protects every tenant regardless of nationality, language or contract type. Within six months of your contract start you can even have the initial rent reviewed retroactively.
What does a Rent Tribunal procedure cost?
For a tenant 25 euros, refunded if you win. You do not need a lawyer. If you lose, that 25 euros is your only cost and nothing else about your contract changes.
